Morning! From Lisbon, we will cross the Tagus River and pass by the Portuguese Golden Gate Bridge, formally called the Salazar Bridge during the fascist dictatorship. At the end of the bridge, we will have the opportunity to see how big the statue of Christ the King, Cristo Rei, an impressive monument that offers stunning views over the city of Lisbon.

The Palace of Queluz (Portuguese: Palácio de Queluz) is a stunning 18th-century palace located in the city of Queluz, within the Sintra Municipality near Lisbon. Regarded as one of the last great Rococo masterpieces in Europe, it was originally designed as a summer residence for King Joseph I’s brother, Dom Pedro of Braganza—who would later become King Pedro III, ruling alongside his niece and wife, Queen Maria I. The palace’s Queen Maria I Pavilion, designed by Manuel Caetano de Sousa, now serves as Portugal’s official state guest house, hosting foreign dignitaries. Rich in elegance and history, the Palace of Queluz is widely considered the most important Baroque monument in the country.
Mafra Palace – Royal Convent of MafraAfter completing a scenic tour around the coastal city of Peniche, we’ll head to the magnificent Royal Convent of Mafra, later known as the National Palace of Mafra. This grand architectural masterpiece, commissioned by King João V, stands as the most iconic symbol of Baroque architecture in Portugal. Located in the heart of Mafra village, just 28 kilometers from Lisbon, the palace impresses with its scale, elegance, and historical significance.
Ericeira – Considered the surfing capital of Europe.Ericeira is a popular beach destination, known for its natural beauty, welcoming atmosphere and delicious seafood. Ericeira is a civil parish and seaside community on the western coast of Portugal considered the surfing capital of Europe. Ericeira is a favourite destination for seaside holidays. This coastal town, founded eight centuries ago, is 40 kilometres north of Lisbon City.
